They are incessant aren’t they – children? Questions. All day long. Endless. Continuous. Relentless.
A study last year showed that mum's are asked more questions an hour than a teacher or a doctor. The research found that four-year old girls were the most curious, asking 390 questions a day. That's a question every one minute 56 seconds.
I know, when I've done children's work in the past, questions are thrown at me left right and centre. It certainly keeps me on the boil, you should try it some time!
Over February and March, I thought it would be good to have a short series on questions that many people are asking in this world of ours. I have met with people recently who are searching and asking me questions like never before. We need to be ready to answer those questions.
In John 4:35 Jesus says ' I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.'
People are asking questions about God, Jesus and the church, questions like, 'Why do bad things happen?', 'Where is Jesus now?' and 'Is Jesus coming back again?' They really want to know what we believe and as a church we need to provide them with the comfort that answering those questions will bring. People don't want 'airy fairy' answers to their questions, people are sick of 'fake news', they want truth, they want us to show what we as Christians truly believe.
So why don't you invite to church that friend who's been searching, and asking you questions, and let's see what God can do!
God bless you,
