Isaiah 55:1 says "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters;
What a summer it’s been so far! Red hot temperatures, Football coming home (well nearly!!), now we have hosepipe bans, in the Lake District! We don’t know if we’re coming or going!
Summer is an interesting time here at LCC as a lot of our church family are away on holiday. But often Sunday mornings are still as busy as it is our privilege to welcome people from all over the UK and indeed the world to come and worship with us while they are on holiday.
And often the words from Isaiah 55:1 come to me at this time of year. It is often that only when we are away from the complexities of life that we can be still and know that He is God and drink of the living waters that He freely gives to us.
I believe that our ministry here at LCC is two-fold, it is not just to the local community but to the visiting community as well. It is our joy to meet people from many different backgrounds and to be able to worship and pray with them.
Here at Lakes Christian Centre we often have a ‘Summer Of Psalms’ where we look at some great passages of Scripture on a Sunday morning, this year is no different.
So many of the Psalms bring great comfort to us, and it is my prayer that local and visitor alike will be able to drink of the ‘Living Water’ and be encouraged knowing that the constant thing in this barmy summer is that Jesus Christ is and will always be Lord.
