Children at Lakes Christian Centre

Ann.jpgHello, I'm Anne Ensoll. The Lord showed me very clearly in September 2009 that I should take on the role of coordinator of the children's work so that I could support and encourage other children's leaders and helpers. I am, primarily, involved in co-ordinating activities for children aged 6 - 11 yrs. We use a wide range of activities to teach the children about the Lord, the Bible, and salvation - music, drama, puppets, crafts, baking, stories, games, etc, and we actively encourage children to get involved in events beyond our own Church walls. We hold a mid-week Bible study for school years 4 to 6. It is my prayer that each of our children will give his or her heart to the Lord and will be baptised in water and in the Holy Spirit, so that they are equipped to face all the challenges of life.

I myself grew up going to church every Sunday and I was saved at the age of 24. I married my husband, Chris, in 1988, and together we run a mountain guiding business in the Lakes and further afield. Our precious son Samuel was born in January 2002, after 12 years of waiting and prayer - the Lord taught me how to be patient and to appreciate every little thing He has given me. In the 20 plus years we have been at LCC we have seen many changes and we know that this is the church that the Lord wants us to be part of.alia.jpg animation.jpg  luca.jpg  ethan.jpg  children.jpg

Julie.jpgMy name is Julie Ross. I am privileged to be involved with the very young children in Church - we call ourselves Gods Tods. On a Sunday morning we have a team of helpers who work with the children in craft activities, listening to and acting out Bible stories and generally having a good time. We get to watch a dvd whilst parents have coffee afterwards. We also enjoy time together at the local park and soft play area.

My husband Paul and I came from Lancashire to the Lakes ten years ago when our eldest boy Louis was just three months old. We had gone through a very tough time having lost our first baby - a little girl, Grace - at three days old just the previous year. It was a brand new start for us and we have since been very blessed with a second boy, Luca, rich friendships and an extended Church family. A real blessing was my brother moving to Windermere, a few years ago, finding the Lord and becoming very much a part of Lakes Christian Centre. I recently trained as a teacher and work, in various capacities, in local schools. Paul and I also run a business where Paul trains people in First Aid.
