Christianity Explored

Christianity ExploredChristianity Explored is an informal seven week course for people wanting to investigate the basics of Christianity through the gospel of Mark. It’s a chance to explore questions like: Who was Jesus? Why did he come? What does it mean to follow him?

A typical evening starts with tea, coffee and cakes in our Coffee Lounge, followed by a short video presentation and then a chance to look at the Bible and discuss together in small groups any thoughts and questions. Towards the end of the course, we have a day away at a local hotel to allow more time for study and fellowship. At times, we invite someone from church to share their testimony.

Topics covered over the seven weeks include:

  1. Good news: What are we doing here?
  2. Identity: Who is Jesus?
  3. Sin: Why did Jesus come?
  4. The cross: Why did Jesus die?
  5. Resurrection: Why did Jesus rise?
  6. Grace: How can God accept us?
  7. What does it mean to follow Jesus?

The next Christianity Explored course will start at Lakes Christian Centre at 2pm on Tuesday 16th January 2018 and there will also be a pre-meeting beforehand at 2pm on Tuesday 9th January to see if this course is for you. If you're interested in attending, then please express your interest by emailing the Office via the contact page.
