Coffee & Prayer

Tuesdays Coffee & Prayer 10.30am - 12 noonWe love opening the Church doors on Tuesday mornings between 10.30am – 12noon, and it’s amazing to see who the Lord has been sending in for fellowship and prayer.

1 Peter 5.7 ‘Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you’.

We have a heart to serve the community with prayers for healing and free refreshments. All are welcome, including locals, holiday makers and members of the Church. Come and enjoy a quiet moment and have a chat with friends.

If you have a need, the Tuesday morning team will pray for you in the privacy of the main Church and be assured that only the Lord hears and remembers what is shared.

UCB Prayerline

UCB United Christian BroadcastersWe have teamed up with United Christian Broadcasters to have volunteers from Lakes Christian Centre answering the UCB Prayerline phones at church once a week and praying with people across the country. As a church that values prayer, we consider it a real privilege to be part of this wonderful ministry.

Foodbank

Food BankThe first Sunday of every month is Foodbank Sunday where you’re invited to bring along non-perishable food donations to help feed our hungry neighbours.

Donations are passed on to the Windermere Foodbank, founded out of the Tressell Trust, who do an amazing job of providing essential food supplies to those in need in our local community. They provide a minimum of 3 days emergency food to people in crisis, working in partnership with frontline care professionals to identify people in need.

Our Foodbank Box is kept in the Foyer and donations can include items like: milk (UHT or powdered), fruit juice (carton), tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, jam, biscuits, snack bars, cereals, soup, pasta sauces, vegetables (tinned), tinned meat/fish, rice, pasta, instant mash potato, rice pudding (tinned), sponge pudding (tinned) or tinned fruit.

CAP Money Course

CAP money: courseThe CAP Money Course is a free money management course in association with Christians Against Poverty to give people tools to budget, save and spend wisely. There are also extra resources for those on low incomes, self-employed people, couples, families and those preparing for retirement – so whoever you are, the CAP Money Course will be relevant to you. Samantha Vyner-Brooks and Jane Parker from Lakes Christian Centre are fully trained to run the CAP Course and have run two very successful events.
