Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Ministry provides an opportunity for men of the church and their friends (Christian or non-Christian) to meet up and get to know each other, build each other up and encourage one another on our journeys.
Iron Sharpens Iron is coordinated by Steve Mayor and Stuart Galpin, and when they first met to pray about the Ministry, this word was unanimous;
‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another’ (Proverbs 27:17).
Over the years we've been clay pigeon shooting, we've had a barbeque by the lake, we've been canoeing and go-karting, we've walked up the Lakeland fells and enjoyed a Pizza Night with a guest speaker and musician.
Bible Study and Prayer
The last Friday of every month is the Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Bible Study and Prayer. This takes place in the Church Coffee Lounge between 7am and 8am and all guys are welcome.
This is a great time for guys to get together around the Word of God and the best way to start your day, so be encouraged to set your alarm early and join us!
Please note: There is no Bible Study in December. Also, it's usually the week before the last, if the Friday falls on a Bank Holiday.
The very successful Men's Breakfast takes place every two months. All guys are welcome, so please invite your family and friends along to enjoy some great food and to hear someone share their short testimony.
Please email the Office via the contact page to be added onto the Iron Sharpens Iron mailing list to hear about upcoming Men's events.
