Love Never Dies
The family had a fantastic time down in London for our 25th wedding anniversary. One of the highlights was going to see the sequel to Phantom of the Opera - Love Never Dies. I find Andrew Lloyd Weber a rather odd person but there is no doubt that he is very gifted in what he does. The love that the Phantom has for Christine is a very dark, mysterious love and is completely different to the love that we would have for the Lord Jesus Christ and for each other.

A Meeting of Hearts
Last Wednesday morning I spent two hours in the company of a real man of God whose name is Brian Ingraham, the pastor of Beth's church in Glasgow. What a great man. It was such an encouragement to spend time with him and there was a real meeting of hearts.

Praise the Lord!
Sometimes when we pray we can be surprised that the Lord hears and answers. It was no surprise to me that the Lord was able to have His way over this last weekend. What started with 24 hours of prayer on the Thursday culminated in the Lord doing great things on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are too many people to thank for all that took place over the weekend but I would just like to mention Julie, Janette, Brian, Samantha, Chris and Beryl for all their hard work.

Pray Without Ceasing
1 Thessalonians 5 verse 17 says 'pray without ceasing'. Never before as the family of Lakes Christian Centre has this been more of a call on our lives. This coming weekend is pivotal, as we welcome Yazz and people from Windermere and Bowness into the life of the Church.
