What's on

Children and Youth

Throughout the week we cater for the differing needs of our children and youth.

Meeting weekly, our Children’s Bible Study (School Yrs 5 - 7) explores the great truths of the Bible in a fun and interactive way.

We provide a strong supportive network for our youth to meet the challenges and issues that face all teenagers. Our Youth Leaders’ assist this group to apply scripture to the situations that they face in school and family life. We encourage our youth to participate in national Christian conferences and events and our regular Youth Camps are becoming a highlight in our annual calendar.

Ladies Prayer Meeting

For many years we have benefited from the faithful prayers of the Ladies Prayer group. Meeting weekly at the home of Mary Baines, the ladies come before the throne of God and make requests on a wide range of matters that have been brought to their attention.

Christian Business Forum

The Christian Business Forum meets for breakfast once a month at the Low Wood Hotel near Ambleside. We aim to support each other in work and business life through Bible teaching, testimony and discussion. Anyone in work or business is welcome to attend.

Affinity Groups

These groups provide an opportunity for like-minded people to get together within a social setting throughout the week. Groups include Art, Gospel Choir, Lakes Women @…, Walking Club and Summer Activity Group.

For further information on any of these groups, please contact the Church office on 015394 88298.

Art

We meet fortnightly to paint, chat and whilst the paint dries, we eat a lot of cake! If you would like to try your hand, or are already proficient, we’d love you to come and join us. There are no experts, just some learners discovering art together.

Gospel Choir

The Lakes Gospel Choir was formed in 2003 and is open to both Christians and non-Christians to share the joy of singing gospel music and experiencing its message. We have 60-70 members of all ages, from teens to 70+. We rehearse weekly and perform in concerts throughout the year.

Lakes Women @ …

For women aged 18 or over, we meet on the first Saturday of each month for coffee at some of Lakeland’s finest tearooms. We usually try to fit in a stroll or short gentle bike ride too. An opportunity to take an hour or so off from the hustle and bustle of life and be inspired by our beautiful surroundings.

Walking Group

This is an opportunity to get together with family and friends each Thursday evening for a gentle stroll and a chat. Everybody is welcome, young and old.

Summer Holiday Activity Group

Open to all – especially families. Each week during the school holidays, one of the mums will organise two or three activities - trips to parks, picnics, events, sightseeing – to allow young and old to spend time doing things together.
