Widows and Orphans
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27
At Lakes Christian Centre we seek to be useful vessels and to serve our overseas family as we are one in Christ Jesus. The needs of orphans and widows around the world are great and we see it as our responsibility before God to assist as we are able.
Our dear friend and brother, Pastor John Victor Kishore and his family care for the spiritual and physical wellbeing of 73 orphans and 26 widows living in the Good Shepherd Orphanage, southern India. Julie Ross and myself are responsible for maintaining the link between the orphanage and our congregation in the UK. The Lord is ever faithful, answering our prayers and enabling us to support Pastor John in his ministry to the precious orphans and widows in his care.
