Worship
Hi, I'm Stuart Carter. I believe the Lord has called me, at this time, to be responsible for the music and worship at Lakes Christian Centre. I was brought up in an evangelical Church near Chesterfield in Derbyshire and, on my own at home one night, aged 13 years, I committed my life to Jesus. As I grew up, a few difficult questions about God and doctrines became an excuse for me not to put the Lord first in my life. Over time, God showed me, through His Word and through my friends in Church, that His ways are not our ways. I decided to let God be God. I came to live in the Lake District in 1999 and enjoy serving Him in this beautiful area where I work in the outdoors. I am married to Anna and we have three children Caleb, Naomi and Judah.
Music at Lakes Christian Centre
During Sunday services at Lakes Christian Centre we praise, give thanks and worship the Lord together.
Our mid week meetings also begin and end with a time of praise and worship for -
"Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised"
Singing and playing musical instruments is simply one of the ways we express our life worship to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit. We have a talented band of musicians and singers who seek to put the Lord first in their lives and aim to point the people to Christ. Our praise and worship incorporates a wide variety of hymns and songs old and new. We are always seeking to find a balance to cater for the varied ages and preferences of people who are part of the Church without being hindered by ‘style'.
I am always blessed by the love of Christ reflected in the congregation and love being part of a worshipping Church.
