Our Responsibilities
As a team, the principles which guide us are:
To welcome, love and care for others as a natural expression of our love for God.
To share the blessings and love of God with our local community in practical ways.
Jesus welcomed everyone throughout his earthly life; He ate with sinners, He received children gladly, He taught us to invite the lowly to parties and to welcome strangers, He prepared breakfast for his disciples and ate with them after His resurrection. Before His ascension to Heaven, Jesus said He was going to “prepare a place” for His people. Jesus also initiated Holy Communion and told us to remember Him through the bread and the wine. Jesus’ life was one of exemplary hospitality and we seek to humbly follow in His footsteps until we meet Him at the great heavenly banquet described for us in the Bible.
“Above all, love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without complaining. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” 1 Peter 4:8-10
